Start with capacity and timetable
Record student numbers, class sizes, teaching methods, furniture, laboratories, administration, storage, library, staff facilities and future growth.
Plan circulation and weather protection
Covered walkways, entrances, ramps, steps and drainage affect daily use during monsoon conditions. Separate pedestrian movement from vehicle and service areas where possible.
Comfort supports learning
Daylight, glare control, ventilation, roof heat, rain noise, internal reverberation and external noise should be reviewed. Acoustic ceilings and absorptive finishes can improve speech clarity.
Sanitation and accessibility
Coordinate toilets, handwashing, water storage, drainage, accessible routes and appropriate fixture numbers. Service routes should allow maintenance without disrupting classrooms.
Safety and approvals
Structural design, exits, fire safety, electrical protection, guardrails, glazing and accessibility require qualified review and applicable approvals.
Prepare phased expansion
Reserve space and service capacity for future classrooms. The Complete House Planner can create a preliminary material schedule for the first phase.
